  Went to this store the other day. Was disappointed in the fact that they sell puppies when so many puppies in shelters need good homes. I also noticed in the shop that the hermit crabs are kept in terrible condition. They market "Fancy Hermit Crabs" as crabs with painted shells. Painted shells are highly toxic to hermit crabs. Also, the insides of the painted shells are usually sticky, causing some crabs to become stuck inside the shells and die. None of the crab tanks had any substrate. Crabs need at least 5-6 inches at all times for molting and hiding. There was no heat source I could appreciate and no source of humidity. Crabs are from the Caribbean, they need heat and humidity. They were also not being fed the appropriate diet. All I saw in the tank were sponges. I felt so bad for them. The staff was friendly though and they did have a nice selection of live plants and drift wood.

  This place is animal abuse. It makes you blind to it because the dogs are cute and you can play with them. But look at this rusted pathetic cage. It's basically a hamster cage for a dog. It is scraping by with the BARE MINIMUM. There isn't even a solid floor for the animals to walk on. I bet their innocent paws have never even touched grass. This place needs to be upgraded or shut down.
